finally again!

yes! it's me again. finally... but as i was really busy (i've got the feeling i kind of repeat myself) the last month. a lot of theatre shows to do, in between a spoken word performance at a brilliant club night called 2zkb (means "zwei zimmer-küche-bad) at the kerosin. and then last weekend two shows with our new performance of the "brevier mamba" at a nice loacation combined with a lot of paintings of the author.

you see, i definitely was busy and therefor it's not just another easy exuse. nevertheless other people have been busy too, especially my dear little sister, who's up and away once again. she left to mexico for acouple of month to do some research and work for her dissertation. and if anyone of my readers does know her and is interested in her life overseas just check out the link helen's hunting next to you on the right side, she's busy posting at the moment and i very much enjoy her texts.

well, time flies. and soon it'll be christmas and then new year's eve. as usual i don't have any presents yet and there are still plenty of things to do and prepare. i've got to get some lessons ready for next thursday at school, and some stuff for uni too.

but today and tomorrow it's time for some cultural events. tonight i'm going to watch a play produced by our "huge" city theatre her in auxburg and tomorrow it's popular culture at its best: franz ferdinand's gonna rock munich and i'll check it out. quite expensive, but i hope they're worth it. support act are the rakes and so it should be one hell of a night.

so long for now and rock on!!!

see y'all soon.

monday: not a fun day

well, it's one of these mondays: got up way to early, sat in a seminar by quarter past eight and haven't had anything to eat yet. tired, bored and still a long day to come.

but what a great weekend! we had a very smooth and succesful premiere of our play on saturday and a nice party afterwards. the audience was very good, it was great fun playing and no major accidental incident happened. i can only ask all of you theatre enthusiasts to visit one of our shows throughout the next two weeks, if you get any close to auxburg and its university

well, now it's time for me to rush off again to sell some more tickets for the mentioned shows...

so long and thanx for the fish!

sunday boring sunday!

uah! it's sunday and after a quite busy week i finally can relax; to be honest: i am doing so instead of working myself through all the stuff that has grown incredibly since i came back to germany (bills, contracts, info-sheets, uni-stuff) and which definitely needs filing. boring, boring stuff. but after having had a shower and a nice cup of tea i think i'll manage to do that now because it has to be done sometime anyway!

the weather is such a shite today, november's getting his grip on augsburg: grey, coldish, damp and soon it'll be dark. the perfect day for filing stupid paperwork and switching the tv on.

but there is a nice week of uni and rehearsing for our upcoming play to come - i'm looking forward to next weekend.

see you later...

culture clash...

some time has passed since my last post - as usual...

but as i mentioned before i was busy the last few weeks and weekends. i have been to the annual frankfurt book fair with my girlfriend a week ago and it was very nice and interesting and a whole lotta books. two days of walking and looking and that was quite exhausting as one can imagine. but very worth seeing.

well, whenever i wasn't at uni or school or work the last few days and weeks we were preparing, rehearsing and practising for the 3rd part of the "lesershow" which finally took place last saturday - and was an enormous success. a great evening for both the audience and us i think (and heard). we read a lot of different pieces: a wide range of poetry, novel excerpts, short stories and more. the label was "black and white" and so were the texts. mostly german literature; after a long period of research we chose a whole bunch of long and short texts. the authors differed a lot in style and publishing date: jeremias gotthelf vs. max goldt, christian morgenstern vs. christian angel, karl krolow vs. wiglaf droste etc.

and now again i'm rehearsing a lot as there's the premiere of our new play by the "romanistentheater" coming up in one week and a half on saturday the 12th. you can see our poster above. so everyone who's around town or county just let me know if you'll come, i'll get some tickets for you... and go to www.romanistentheater.de if you want to!

we'll play "hotel zu den zwei welten" by eric-emmanuel schmitt who is although the author of "monsieur ibrahim und die blumen des koran". it's a very dramatic and tragic play but quite funny in some parts too. it deals with all the great philosophical questions of life, love, death and the afterlife... just come, see and listen!

to come to an end for now: there's a nice new novel by jess jochimsen (a young german comedian who is very witty and talented in my opinion): "bellboy". i really enjoyed reading it and can only recommend it...

see you soon my mates.

back again!

yes, yeah, yep! i'm back in good old augsburg after a lovely but much too short week in sicily. i was staying there with my girlfriend and her relatives in the very picturesque village taormina up in the hills next to the coast and the etna-region.
it was a very chilled, relaxed week, full of good food and nice evenings. we had a bit more rain than over here in germany but nevertheless it was warm and holidaylike. mmmh, could have been much longer, actually.

and now it's back to normal. uni lectures and seminars start again tomorrow and there are a lot of rehearsals for upcoming drama shows and spoken word performances to come throughout the next weeks. so it's gonna be a really busy time for me from tomorrow on, but at least i've got something to do...

the next event i'll participate in will be the 3rd part of our "lesershow" on saturday 29th of october in about two weeks from now. so here's our flyer:

finally i've got some tips:
bought the new element of crime cd "mittelpunkt der welt" yesterday as well as thge new starsailor album "on the outside" and both of them are really really worth listening to. element of crime and especially sven regener haven't reinvented their sound but still they've got the best german lyrics at the moment (in my opinion at least).
starsailor are following their last album soundwise, they find a nice mixture in between quiet and loud and the singer's voice is outstanding again!
well, and i finished reading "middlesex" by jeffrey eugenides while on holiday. a very remarkable piece of literature by the author of "virgin suicides" but completely different in style and topic. just have look at it.

mmh, nothing more to say for today. see you all soon, hopefully saturday in two weeks time...

pandora's box

after having read an article on a new kind of web radio i just tried it. and it works quite good i think. it's called pandora and can be found on www.pandora.com
it creates your own "radio stations" after you've been asked about your favourite artist(s). then it searches music and bands which sound similar to these and compiles them for you. very nice and worth checking out for music fanatics like you and me...

on the road again soon...

here you go. another random picture of my growing graffiti collection. found it on some wall in auxburg. let's call it "the wanderer" or "the passenger". for me it stands for my trip to sicily that's soon to come. actually, we'll be leaving for some sunshine friday the 7th. for a week. not for good. i'm really looking forward to going there as i've never been to sicily before. it's gonna be sun, sun, culture, relaxing and some more sun hopefully. be jealous please (i definitely would, hehe)!!!

another update

hey-ho let's go!

ages since i've written the last few words on my latest experiences out there...
i have been busy travelling around the northern part of germany for a week - well, it's already a whole week gone by since my return to my beloved girlfiend and therefore augsburg.
i was in berlin for a couple of days to visit my good friend franzi over there. it was a bloody good time we had there. i stayed over at her place in kreuzberg which was really lovely (and thanx thanx thanx again for a real nice stay, franzi!). not too much sightseeing for me, as i'd been to berlin several times before and i saw quite a lot back then. but for the first time i had the chance to cycle around town - on a beautiful and very relaxing "hollandrad" - and as the weather was perfect for such a task i did very well in doing "flo's biketour". it was quite different from getting to know that city by walking (which is my usual way of doing that) and i really enjoyed it very much.
for the first time i went to see the holocaust memorial and i was really excited: it's a very well planned and structured memorial and definitely a good thing to be there and make people rembember the holocaust. there were so many arguments beforehand about building it or not or how and why and so on, but i think it's a perfect, somehow abstract memorial that causes the right emotions and thoughts while wallking through.
we didn't go out that much, but i went on a great concert with franzi, where we saw the stars, koufax, supergrass and the stereo mc's. almost all of these bands were really good and worth the 20 euro we spent on them. the most surprising act were the stereo mc's, those old and used and drugged masters of rave, which really rocked the whole crowd. we were shaking our booties up until 3 in the morning. so, if you've got the chance to check them out once i hereby recommend them! another highlight was supergrass. they had a more unplugged set, which wasn't that rocking and they mostly presented songs of their new album (very good by the way: road to rouen) - extremly relaxed atmosphere (lampshades and dimmed light) and some good musicians, great voice and great sound.
on my last night in berlin - before leaving to hamburg - we went on some kind of spoken word performance by a group called the "unenthusiasten" - if i recall that correctly - which was a nice bunch of authors reading their own texts, some of them really good, some rather good, others quite boring. but the people and the atmosphere there was very pleasing and nice.
the next morning i "rushed" to hamburg with the german rail. i was in quite a hurry so that i could meet my cousin olli and i was really glad that my train was only half an hour late and not more (as usual). well, i went for coffee with my cousin then spent a night at marie's place in hamburg-othmarschen, which was really lovely (such a fab house and garden...) before finally having a huge party for marie's birthday some thirty kilometres south of hamburg in the middle of nowhere an enormous site - an old cottage house with a garden footballgound-size. nicey-nice. we had a lot of fun partying, although it got freezing cold at night, but there was a fireplace, my self-made chili (both vegan and meaty) and some alcohol to keep us warm.
next day i had another long train trip back to auxburg and here i am again sitting at my desk.
and it still took me a week to finally get a grip and write a post on all that stuff. but as i brought the lovely weather down here, anke and i decided to leave for wasserburg last weekend and as there's no dsl there i had to wait until today to write some words. and that was that and is this.
now uni is starting soon, but again i'll leave this country for a week in 10 days or so, hehe. more about that later.

have fun and enjoy yourself!!! life is great ;-)

street art!

just found these nice graffiti pictures on my mobile. the quality is rather bad as my mobile's camera is real shite...
but in finding and posting these pix my old pictures of graffiti i took in several european cities popped up in my mind again (i'm quite sure they are somewhere deep down in an old shoe box in my parents' home in munich). some of them are really great and hereby i promise to post them as soon as possible (i think i'll have to scan! damn!)

well, there's no news so far, summer finally returned to germany after maases of water from above flooded bavaria - the shittiest august in a long time. i'm still in auxburg but change is gonna come soon as i'll be in berlin and hamburg next week - visiting franzi in berlin (and for sure some other people), rocking the popkomm there and then celebrating marie's birthday close to hamburg. definitely a fine way to spend time, i'm really looking forward to going on this short trip.

see you all soon!!!

bloody bastard summer!

mmh, not a very nice headline. and actually i'm not at all in a bad mood. well, weatherwise i am. down here in the floody south of germany we had one of the worst summer months ever, i think. august was completely soaked. yak!
and now, as september is ready to start and rock, it's starting to boil again. strange strange weather, must be the climate change. at least we won't get any hurricanes i hope.

i had some real nice things going on the last few days and weeks - the only thing i did not enjoy was the weather (did i mention that before?). there was my birthday the other day and we had a huge gathering at the coq (it's french, meaning cock, hehe) a nice little bar, downtown auxburg. there were loads of people 'cause i've got soooooo many friends. i was very pleased to see them all. thanx for coming, mates...! and thanx for all the presents, of course.

well, and then there's other things do, like reading, researching music and literature, buying stuff, working (just a joke), working for uni (for real), doing some sports once in a while and and and

ah, and yesterday we went to see "charlie and the chocolate factory" by tim burton and it was great, fantastic, trippy, funny and the perfect adaptation of dahl's book (i read it years ago, but i think burton did a bloody good job). i can only recommend it , it's not at all just a film for kids.

let's see if i've got some music tips too!?
mmh, there's always firewater, a band that too few people know, but which is definitely one of my favourite bands. they come from new york, play alternative/indie tunes mixed with klezmer, blues and circus stuff - some songs remind me of tom waits or even eels and beck. the lyrics deal with dark, macabre and ironic topics. as you can see i really do like the band and hereby i want everyone of you to at least check out some songs (my tips: another perfect catastrophe, bad world, anything at all, so long superman, i am the rain) or albums (their latest one is a year old or so and an album full of covers: "songs we should have written" - very nice). do it. do it do it.

no book tip today, but maybe tomorrow.

have a nice day, week, month, year, decade, life. but nevertheless, see you soon somewhere out there...

angie merkel

have been a tiny bit creative today. as i'm really fed up with the political circus in germany and the same stupid faces everywhere so close before our next major election i started to joke around about our beloved conservative leader recently. and so, with a little help from my friends mick jagger and keith richards the following little piece found its way on my new ibook and now onto this blog:

Angie Merkel (music and major parts of the lyrics by the rolling stones)

Angie, Angie, oh now this black cloud will appear!
Angie, Angie, where will you lead us from here?
With no loving in your soul and no money in our coat
We can't say we're satisfied
But Angie, Angie, you can't say you've never lied
Angie, you're horrible and ain't it time you said goodbye
Angie, how we hate you, just think of all those nights we cried!
All the dreams we hold so close seem to all go up in smoke
Let me scream this in your ear:
Angie, Angie, where will you lead us from here?

Angie, you creep, oh your distress will taste sweet
I hate that gladness in your eyes
But Angie, Angie, ain't it time you said goodbye?
With no loving in your soul and no money in our coat
We can't say we're satisfied
But Angie, we still hate you, baby
Everywhere I look I see your bloody face
You ain't a woman that's for goddamn sure
Come on disappear now in a haze
But Angie, Angie ain't it bad to live a lie?
Angie, Angie, we won't say we never tried

heya!

cheers!

i just realized i haven't posted anything in quite a while, so here you go again: have been busy doing nothing but still have done quite a lot in the last few weeks. i settled down more and more here in good old bavaria. and i'm planning the next literature projects (coming up in auxburg in october and december so watch out!) with some friends and some guys from my uni.

well, and finally finally i found love or even better: love found me. i'm happy, enthusiastic, in a perfect mood and soooo much in love. it's great. she's perfect.
everybody should try that once in a while, i can really recommend it;-) so go out now and find somebody to love...

last weekend we had a great party in wasserburg (i posted a picture of the sun rising above the lake some time ago...). my family, their friends and my friends. a huge bunch of people and a lot of talking, drinking and enjoying the countryside. fun indeed.
and some people (not me) even came round to see exactly this sunrise:

it was a bloody good party. thanx to everybody who made it...

mmh, there sure is much more news but i can't think of any now.

have fun everyone!!!

good day sunshine!

hello again!

i know i'm quite lazy and not posting very much at the moment. but i'm still waiting for my new ibook to arrive (ordered it a week ago or so). and then everything will be better and updated more often and stuff...

i'm quite busy enjoying my spare time here in auxburg. still a lot of friends to meet, parties to visit, things to do and money to spend (money i don't really have that is).

well, i just want to take this opportunity to write about the links on the right hand side of the blog. all sites by or about good friends of mine. the first 2 are the blogs of alex and verena my lovely hosts throughout my last few weeks in london and very good friends indeed (be careful out there in london these days;-)). extremebordercrossing is ablog by miri, which is a very interesting thing to read for people who are interested in the whole palestinian/israeli conflict as she's over there at the moment. then there's cordula's homepage, my old classmate now living and working and doing arts and stuff somewhere in the u.s. (boston it is most of the time). that page is followed by her band's website. they've just started playing together and i think it's real cool punkrock stuff. plasticpilots is another project by alex. finally, i posted the sites of my old bandmates and the drummer's sideproject. rock'n'roll. CHECK THESE SITES OUT, THEY'RE JUST A CLICK AWAY...

more news soon. summer is shitty and i have to do some dancing now to get more sun. see you...

Kommandeur Kloontsch

here it comes, my first story worth reading. enjoy and comment!

KOMMANDEUR KLOONTSCH

„Sei still!

hello says the flo!

yoyoyo!

i know i've been and still am a lousy blogger as i haven't posted much recently. but i've been busy busy busy enjoying my loads and loads of spare time without getting bored. last friday there was this hilarious evening i mentioned in my last post, we had a great time in reading all this stories, playing those little scenes. and we had a wonderful audience that was very concentrated and never got bored throughout the long long evening. it was a lot of input with some music in between and not all of our texts were easy-going fun stuff.
i was very nervous before that evening started, because i had decided to read one of my own stories (i wrote it with my good friend henning) which was a great deal for me as i never read anything like that in public before. and the story is quite weird stuff, too. but i finally did it and i got some very charming and pleasing comments, which i hope were honest critique and this encourages me to go on with my surreal and grotesque little stories. i think i'll post it here soon, so that those of you able to understand german can have a quick read through it. i'd love to read your honest critique on that story in form of a comment or two. so just do it, do it do it ;-)

after that hilarious evening last friday i had some nice days here in auxburg and then i went to lörrach with my mother to visit some relatives there and to do some day trips to switzerland (lörrach is very close to basel, for those of you who haven't got a clue what i'm talking about). and so we went to zürich on wednesday and to basel on thursday. both of the towns are really beautiful and picturesque, i very much enjoyed having a stroll through the ancient aprts of the cities. as both basel and zurich have never been destroyed in world war 1 or 2, the appearance of the cities differs quite a lot to german cities of similar age. i can only recommend a visit to those of you who have never been there... but one day is definitely too little time to see enough. in besel we went to the tingely museum which was a great experience too. i just love his sculptures. they are so big, enourmos and loud. quite industrial sound, long before that genre was acutally invented ;-)

well, i think that's it for now, tonight there's gonna be a bbq and then a great dj-set by dj koze at the kerosin, hopefully!

so take care out there, especially my friends in london and see you all soon!

some news...

hey mates!

i know i haven't been writing some days, but i've been bloody busy and so i couldn't find any spare time to post some words. and without a computer it's quite tricky too...

but the important news first: this friday, 15th of july, there's gonna be some kind of lecture where we will read out (loud) some literature and we will have some live music and other stuff. it's called SPRECHSTUNDE and will start at 8ish at the CAFÉ STRIESE in auxburg. i think it's gonna be quite interesting and we've got a lot of funny texts too, so if anyone of you is round here in bavaria... see you there!

well, and now to something completely different: my return and rebirth as a true auxburgian has finally happened. i already moved my stuff from munich to auxburg and i'm kind of living here again. and it's fantastic! my room is really nice and so is my new flatmate - my good old friend gerald whom i know since my very first day of studying here - and we already had a fabulous "farewell carmen / welcome flo"-party last thursday. it was great to see all those people again, the flat was quite crowded and a lot of drinks were drunk until 4 in the morning. rock'n'roll!!!

although i don't have anything to do (like a job or uni) at the moment i can't really complain about being bored - there's always stuff to do, friends to meet, things to buy and fun to have.

as all of you might guess i'm in a very good mood and i haven't fallen in that dark hole created by the cultural shock of coming back. and i hope i won't either. i do miss england and all my friends there or back in their home countries already (or finally) but i'm sure we'll meet soon and i'm very much looking forward to doing that. the summer is still long and hasn't really begun yet.

see you all soon and kisses from auxburg to everybody out there in this big wide and wild world ;-)

just a quickie!!!

hey!

just a quick update as it's been a week or so since i've written the last stuff. have been really busy (that means if not working but having something to do can be called busy!?). on wednesday i moved the first things to augsburg and it was abloddy hot day and some kind of odyssey as we had to go from munich to wasserburg (to put my new bed on the roof of lorenz' car) and then from there to augsburg via munich again. but we had a swim in that lovely small lake i posted a picture of the other day; and somehow we managed to avoid the thunderstorms on our way to augsburg.

well, after having moved the most essential things (stereo & bed & some books)to my new flat (pix will follow a.s.a.p.) i went back to munich for two days, met a lot of people and then i came to augsburg on friday to visit a seminar at uni (sprecherziehung) which is always fun and in the evening i saw the first rehearsal of the drama group i'm gonne rejoin immediately. a very nice day which found a lovely ending with some beers at the student pub near campus and then some more drinks and a spontaneous dj-session with michi at the kerosin (augsburg's best club i have to admit, and there was not one better club in england i've got to say). a hard night but fun.

the rest of the weekend was quite relaxed, i saw some more good friends, a strange play named "judith" and some strange shortfilm-collection named "ten minutes older" (both maybe too art-farty for me - i don't mean my friends of course).

mmh, and that's it for the moment, i'm at uni right now signing in for some courses in winter and then i'll head off back to munich for a couple of days.

so see ya all soon!

ah, and here's a music-tip:
i bought a bloody good sampler of some strange but good bands (some of them from munich others from america). it's called "freunde selbstgemachter unterhaltung" and published by the label gutfeeling in munich. some songs are quite strange, other are very catchy, so if you've got the possibility check it out...

oh sweet bavaria!

here you go... the first picture i posted. and it's one of the earliest pictures in my head too: the view from my grandparents' house in wasserburg in the morning. by the way, this is the lake i learnt swimming in.
i'm here at the moment and it's lovely as usual in the summer. very hot and humid and the lake is just a minute's walk away - yeah! indeed a very big contrast to london where i spent my last two or three weeks in england at my good friends verena and alex.
bavaria in the summertime is something i definitely can recommend. i'll post some more pictures soon to make those people jealous who have never been here (and those who come from here shall get homesick, hehe!)
had a busy last week, as i met all my friends, went out every night, spent 2 days in augsburg, went to the countryside yesterday and so on. so it's no wonder i slept so sound and really long last night. just got up 2 hours ago and the first thing i did to wake up was having a swim in the lake - great!!!

as you might imagine, i feel quite fine here in germany again, but on the other hand i miss all my folks back there in england too... it was such a great year over there and something quite different from home! ah, and in thinking of england i hereby want to thank all of those over there who made this year a good one. and some people i want to thank via this blog (no clue if anybody reads it anyway): the first those people who gave me a home in my homeless phase last month, which are specially alex and verena, as i kind of lived in their flat (it was lovely and a very relaxed contrast to busy london outside the flat's windows). and of course clemens has to be thanked loads and loads for having me round his place almost every weekend without complaining once (but hitting me with a frying pan just for the fun of it). and then there was jean-philippe who lend me his flat for some days; and franzi and j-p and verena and alex again who helped with all my suitcases and bags on the way back home; and of course miri who organized a car and so many more people that i can't name all now who made the last year a very pleasant one for me: THANX FOR EVERYTHING.
i'll be happy to return some of these favours once you are around in munich or auxburg...
puh, it's getting hot and the water seems to call out for me. so i think i'll leave the blog a blog and dive into the lake once again...

see you soon.

back in da hometown, yo yo yo !!!

hello out there!!!

i finally made it back to germany and to be more precise: to munich. last sunday my good friend miri and i headed off early in the morning from very sunny and hot london. we got this small fiat punto or something which was filled up until the roof with all our stuff...

we had a quick drive to dover and a easy and very nice ferry journey over the channel. from calais we went straight into france and took the wrong way to end up in brussels two hours later. beforehand our plan was to drive via strasbourg but we thought about visiting brussels anyway, so we took a long break there. we didn't know what to expect and so we just loved it as we arrived in the old part of the city, where one can find lovely old houses, slightly run-down sometimes but with a lot of heart and culture to it. another thing you've got a lot there is turkish shops and restaurants. actually there were so many turkish shops, bars, cafés and restaurants that we decided to rename the town. now it's called "BRÜSSÜL".

after having some food and astroll through this very pittoresque town we got in our 60 to 80° celsius hot car and drove off. we crossed belgium and holland in a couple of hours and finally entered good old german soil at aachen around ninish in the evening. i wanted to drive directly to munich but luckily miri convinced me to stay somewhere over night and so we found this great youth hostel set in an old castle high above koblenz with a great view over the two rivers meeting there (rhine and mosel).

after a short night we had to get on the road again as soon as possible as we had to avoid the heat. and after six hours of driving through god knows how many german states we were back where it all started from (my life, my year abroad,...): MUNICH.

and today (after two days of time to adapt to germany and the cultural shock being back brings with itself) i have to say that i love being back. it's summer, it's hot, i already saw loads of people i haven't seen in ages and i've been swimming and drinking good bavarian beer and so on. am in augsburg at the moment to check all my uni stuff and dates and meet all my good mates here and i'm really enjoying that too...

puh, that was a lot going on for me the last few days. i'm in a hilariously good mood and quite euphoric at the moment and now i'll stop this update as this bloody "cip-pool" is too hot, so i've got to get out and about now.

friends & fun & sound & sun in brighton

hey folks!

just came back to london after 2 lovely days in brighton, where i went to say goodbye to all my friends and all my favourite spots and venues. and i have to say it worked out really fine.

yesterday was a nice and sunny day and i spent a lot of my time at the seafront.
at night i went to a gig at the concorde 2 and we saw two hilarious acts i hereby definitely want to recommend: brakes and buck 65.
brakes were support and playing some really nice straight-forward punky rock, without being too arty-farty as a lot of the other english bands at the moment. very energetic and i think they'll publish their debut album in a couple of weeks - listen to it!!!
the main performer - buck 65 - was just unbelievably good. i wouldn't call his sound hip-hop, as it's much more than that. he does a one-man-show which is very funny and all he needs therefore is a turntable and some samplers. his lyrics are so weird, absurd and utterly funny i stood there concentrating to understand the very last bit and in between i almost laughed my head off. the whole thing - to come to an end now - reminded me of beck's odelay period (if anybody remembers his life shows back then: much rougher than today) and sometimes his voice has a strange resemblance with tom waits. but all in all this is just a bad attempt of me to describe something you should actually listen to yourself...

today i had another relaxing day at the sea and around brighton and a nice last night at the prince albert.

ok, i think this are enough news for today, i finally managed to post my old e-mail to germany from the last 8 months (thanx to cordula for sending me those i thought that were lost!). just to fill up this blog and as a nostalgic view back!

ok. that's it for today, have fun and dance in the sun (if there is no sun then dance to get some; i call it sun-dance and i believe it works)

see you...

in the night

hey folks,
it's already in the middle of the night, but this new toy named blog keeps me awake. i'm still sitting here at the table designing and rearranging words and thinking about the best way to publish and what to publish and and and...
tomorrow i'm going to go brighton for two last days at the sea and i hope the weather will be fine as i don't have anything to do except from relaxing at the seafront, eating some falafel and meet some of my mates for the last time. ahh, it's gonna be wonderful, but hereby i promise i'll shed some tears for all my friends out there who have to work or study or whatever. tomorrow night i'll see buck 65, a really great mc, at the concorde 2. i'm really looking forward to that as i listen to some of his stuff this very moment and i have to say: he's great, that is some really good hip-hop, very unique and advanced; definiteley worth listening in my opinion...
well, let's see how he is performing all that live! SEE YA!!!

old news

english:

i won't repeat that. haven't decided on my official 'blog-language' yet, but it might be german if the majority doesn't complain. or whatever. just decided NOT TO POST my angland-updates as they are documents of the past and who wants to live in the past except from strange people running around in a mod-costume and wearing funny clothes like half the population of brighton...!?

hello/goodbye

it's sad. i say hello to this blog and everybody reading it, and at the same time i'm going to say goodbye to england very soon as my time here has come to an end. it's a pity i didn't have this blog before coming here. but as i don't have that many news now and as i have to figure out how all this new stuff here works i'm going to post my monthly mail-updates for my german friends tomorrow...

mail an alle vom 31.5.2005: flo's last england update

rum. erstmal muenchen dann ab juli auxburg. also freut euch und

euer flo.

p.s.:

die kulturtips
- die neue eels-platte "blinking the lights", ne schoene doppel-cd
steht.

eher fuer meine grandiosen kulturtips interessiert, darf uebrigens

schaurig-schoenen melancholischen gute-launestueckchen. undbedingt mal
abgefahrene, humorvolle geschichte...
3. an filmen hat mir 'the interpreter' recht gut gefallen. sean penn

massenmail vom 31.3.2005: flo's backup for the krauts

aetzend wie tauben, also schlussendlich ueberdimensionierte
flugratten.

the flo.

- jack johnson "in between dreams" (sehr schoen relaxte
- queens of the stone age "luulabies to paralyze" (das rockt wie
so, da sollte fuer jeden was nettes dabei sein!
royal tenenbaums") neuer film "the life aquatic with steve zissou" (in
asperger-syndrom gelesen vojn mark haddon: "the curious incident of
the dog in the night time", keine ahnung ob's des auf deutsch schon
gibt....

lange mail am 6.1.2005: a guats neies!
