bloody bastard summer!

mmh, not a very nice headline. and actually i'm not at all in a bad mood. well, weatherwise i am. down here in the floody south of germany we had one of the worst summer months ever, i think. august was completely soaked. yak!
and now, as september is ready to start and rock, it's starting to boil again. strange strange weather, must be the climate change. at least we won't get any hurricanes i hope.

i had some real nice things going on the last few days and weeks - the only thing i did not enjoy was the weather (did i mention that before?). there was my birthday the other day and we had a huge gathering at the coq (it's french, meaning cock, hehe) a nice little bar, downtown auxburg. there were loads of people 'cause i've got soooooo many friends. i was very pleased to see them all. thanx for coming, mates...! and thanx for all the presents, of course.

well, and then there's other things do, like reading, researching music and literature, buying stuff, working (just a joke), working for uni (for real), doing some sports once in a while and and and

ah, and yesterday we went to see "charlie and the chocolate factory" by tim burton and it was great, fantastic, trippy, funny and the perfect adaptation of dahl's book (i read it years ago, but i think burton did a bloody good job). i can only recommend it , it's not at all just a film for kids.

let's see if i've got some music tips too!?
mmh, there's always firewater, a band that too few people know, but which is definitely one of my favourite bands. they come from new york, play alternative/indie tunes mixed with klezmer, blues and circus stuff - some songs remind me of tom waits or even eels and beck. the lyrics deal with dark, macabre and ironic topics. as you can see i really do like the band and hereby i want everyone of you to at least check out some songs (my tips: another perfect catastrophe, bad world, anything at all, so long superman, i am the rain) or albums (their latest one is a year old or so and an album full of covers: "songs we should have written" - very nice). do it. do it do it.

no book tip today, but maybe tomorrow.

have a nice day, week, month, year, decade, life. but nevertheless, see you soon somewhere out there...

angie merkel

have been a tiny bit creative today. as i'm really fed up with the political circus in germany and the same stupid faces everywhere so close before our next major election i started to joke around about our beloved conservative leader recently. and so, with a little help from my friends mick jagger and keith richards the following little piece found its way on my new ibook and now onto this blog:

Angie Merkel (music and major parts of the lyrics by the rolling stones)

Angie, Angie, oh now this black cloud will appear!
Angie, Angie, where will you lead us from here?
With no loving in your soul and no money in our coat
We can't say we're satisfied
But Angie, Angie, you can't say you've never lied
Angie, you're horrible and ain't it time you said goodbye
Angie, how we hate you, just think of all those nights we cried!
All the dreams we hold so close seem to all go up in smoke
Let me scream this in your ear:
Angie, Angie, where will you lead us from here?

Angie, you creep, oh your distress will taste sweet
I hate that gladness in your eyes
But Angie, Angie, ain't it time you said goodbye?
With no loving in your soul and no money in our coat
We can't say we're satisfied
But Angie, we still hate you, baby
Everywhere I look I see your bloody face
You ain't a woman that's for goddamn sure
Come on disappear now in a haze
But Angie, Angie ain't it bad to live a lie?
Angie, Angie, we won't say we never tried

heya!

cheers!

i just realized i haven't posted anything in quite a while, so here you go again: have been busy doing nothing but still have done quite a lot in the last few weeks. i settled down more and more here in good old bavaria. and i'm planning the next literature projects (coming up in auxburg in october and december so watch out!) with some friends and some guys from my uni.

well, and finally finally i found love or even better: love found me. i'm happy, enthusiastic, in a perfect mood and soooo much in love. it's great. she's perfect.
everybody should try that once in a while, i can really recommend it;-) so go out now and find somebody to love...

last weekend we had a great party in wasserburg (i posted a picture of the sun rising above the lake some time ago...). my family, their friends and my friends. a huge bunch of people and a lot of talking, drinking and enjoying the countryside. fun indeed.
and some people (not me) even came round to see exactly this sunrise:

it was a bloody good party. thanx to everybody who made it...

mmh, there sure is much more news but i can't think of any now.

have fun everyone!!!

good day sunshine!

hello again!

i know i'm quite lazy and not posting very much at the moment. but i'm still waiting for my new ibook to arrive (ordered it a week ago or so). and then everything will be better and updated more often and stuff...

i'm quite busy enjoying my spare time here in auxburg. still a lot of friends to meet, parties to visit, things to do and money to spend (money i don't really have that is).

well, i just want to take this opportunity to write about the links on the right hand side of the blog. all sites by or about good friends of mine. the first 2 are the blogs of alex and verena my lovely hosts throughout my last few weeks in london and very good friends indeed (be careful out there in london these days;-)). extremebordercrossing is ablog by miri, which is a very interesting thing to read for people who are interested in the whole palestinian/israeli conflict as she's over there at the moment. then there's cordula's homepage, my old classmate now living and working and doing arts and stuff somewhere in the u.s. (boston it is most of the time). that page is followed by her band's website. they've just started playing together and i think it's real cool punkrock stuff. plasticpilots is another project by alex. finally, i posted the sites of my old bandmates and the drummer's sideproject. rock'n'roll. CHECK THESE SITES OUT, THEY'RE JUST A CLICK AWAY...

more news soon. summer is shitty and i have to do some dancing now to get more sun. see you...
