some time has passed since my last post - as usual...
but as i mentioned before i was busy the last few weeks and weekends. i have been to the annual frankfurt book fair with my girlfriend a week ago and it was very nice and interesting and a whole lotta books. two days of walking and looking and that was quite exhausting as one can imagine. but very worth seeing.
well, whenever i wasn't at uni or school or work the last few days and weeks we were preparing, rehearsing and practising for the 3rd part of the "lesershow" which finally took place last saturday - and was an enormous success. a great evening for both the audience and us i think (and heard). we read a lot of different pieces: a wide range of poetry, novel excerpts, short stories and more. the label was "black and white" and so were the texts. mostly german literature; after a long period of research we chose a whole bunch of long and short texts. the authors differed a lot in style and publishing date: jeremias gotthelf vs. max goldt, christian morgenstern vs. christian angel, karl krolow vs. wiglaf droste etc.
and now again i'm rehearsing a lot as there's the premiere of our new play by the "romanistentheater" coming up in one week and a half on saturday the 12th. you can see our poster above. so everyone who's around town or county just let me know if you'll come, i'll get some tickets for you... and go to www.romanistentheater.de if you want to!
we'll play "hotel zu den zwei welten" by eric-emmanuel schmitt who is although the author of "monsieur ibrahim und die blumen des koran". it's a very dramatic and tragic play but quite funny in some parts too. it deals with all the great philosophical questions of life, love, death and the afterlife... just come, see and listen!
to come to an end for now: there's a nice new novel by jess jochimsen (a young german comedian who is very witty and talented in my opinion): "bellboy". i really enjoyed reading it and can only recommend it...
see you soon my mates.
